Account. Your email address and a password (stored hashed), used to sign you in and to sync your subscription and history across the web and iOS apps.
Your content. The beliefs and rebuttals you submit, the arguments generated in response, and any "was this convincing?" ratings. These are stored in your account history so you can revisit them, and are visible only to you — unless you explicitly share one to the public gallery (see below).
Payments. Contria Plus is sold on the web through Stripe, who acts as the merchant of record. Stripe processes your payment details; we never see or store your card number. We keep only your subscription status and Stripe customer reference.
Usage analytics. The web and iOS apps send anonymized usage events (screens used, feature counts) to TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service that does not track you across apps or websites. Identifiers are hashed on your device before being sent, and no belief or argument text is ever included. Your daily streak is stored only on your device.
To generate a counterargument, the text you submit is sent to Anthropic's Claude API from our server. It is processed to produce the response and is subject to Anthropic's API data policies; we do not use your content to train models or share it with anyone else.
Nothing you write is ever published unless you choose to share it. If you press "Post to gallery", that one belief and its argument are submitted for the public gallery. Entries are reviewed by us before publishing and appear anonymously — your name, email, and account are never shown or linked. You can withdraw a submission or published entry at any time under Gallery → My submissions (or by emailing hello@contria.ai), and deleting your account removes your gallery entries and submissions as well.
We don't sell your data, show ads, track you across other apps or websites, or share your content with third parties beyond the processors named above (Stripe, Anthropic, TelemetryDeck).
You can delete your account at any time from Settings in the web or iOS app. Deletion is immediate and permanent: your account, beliefs, history, ratings, gallery entries, and subscription records are removed, and any active subscription is canceled at the same time, so you won't be billed again. The remainder of an already-paid period is not refunded.
